| Shoes and Inserts Gel Inserts are here! We are proud to announce the premiere of our gel insole. This insole is NOT coded nor reviewed by Medicare. We recommend using it in the shoes of arthritics, non-diabetics with foot issues, and others who need that extra bit of comfort for their feet. The insert is constructed in three layers; the top cover is made from a proprietary leather-like material, the middle layer of plastazote, and the bottom cover of polyurethane with gel material in the heel and metatarsal areas for added support. This construction makes it more comfortable and longer wearing with less bottoming out than our standard heat moldable insert. What exactly is a gusset?
